The Advanced Practices course is required by the State of Oregon for your first, active real estate license renewal. We make it easy by offering all three state-approved courses:
- Broker Advanced Practices
- Property Manager Advanced Practices
- Principal Broker Advanced Practices
Complete Before Renewal — Stay Compliant
You must complete your Advanced Practices course before your first license renewal. If you fail to do so, you cannot conduct any real estate activity until the course is finished and your license is renewed.
Failure to meet the deadline may result in:
- Suspension of all real estate activities (including accepting commissions)
- Administrative discipline from the Oregon Real Estate Commissioner
- Late renewal fees
Course Details
Each Advanced Practices course is 26 hours and counts toward your continuing education (CE) requirements for license renewal. Important Update: Beginning January 1, 2026, each course will be 26 hours in length per Oregon Real Estate Agency requirements.

Oregon Broker Advanced Practices (BAP)
26 hours
This course meets the new 2026 Oregon Real Estate Agency requirements for brokers needing the 26-hour Broker Advanced Practices Continuing Education prior to their first active license renewal. It can also be a source of 26 hours of eligible CE for brokers or principal brokers that have been licensed for a number of years. This course covers Oregon Agency Law, Misrepresentation, Economics of Real Estate and Secondary Markets, Property Management, Business Ethics, Disciplinary Case Studies, and a Final Exam.

This course meets the new 2026 Oregon Real Estate Agency requirements for Property Managers needing the 26-hour Property Manager Advanced Practices Continuing Education prior to their first active license renewal. This course covers Agency Laws and Duties, Property Management Agreements, Operations of a Company, CTA’s And Security Deposits, Property Management Accounting, Oregon Landlord Tenant Act, Fair Housing Laws, Property Management Records, Real Estate License Law, Commercial Property Management, Emergency and Energy Management Plans, and a Final Exam.
